Car seat
Posted on: 08 Feb 2018

My oldest will be 2 at the end of March and she’s 25 lbs. We know we want her rear facing until at least 2. She has a car seat that grows with her so that isn’t an issue. When should we switch her to forward facing? She already meets the requirements for the state so it’s whenever we choose now.

If she meets the requirements then I say go ahead and switch her around or wait a little longer if it makes you feel more comfortable. I know some people may wait until their child is close to being 3. Just because it makes them feel a little more secured.

We have a car seat that changes as baby grows also it’s the grace extend to fit. Our son is almost 1 in 3 months and is 19lbs, we plan to rear face until maybe 2 -2 1/2 depending on what his height and weight will be at that time.

If she meets the requirements I say switch her after she turns 2. That way she can see you and you her.
