Make it fun! Make faces on the plate with the new foods you want them to try. Make a game like match and if you don't find a match the other person gets to tell you what to take a bite of... you can also do a guessing game. Let child see foods then cover eyes and ask them to taste it and guess what it is.

I just started giving my daughter some. Slowly and 1 at a time. I would just put her in her high chair and let her have some of the food. She gets messy and doesn't eat all of it because it gets all over her but she can take a bath. She has fun learning the new foods and trying them. We have done all the basics and now she just eats everything she can. Let your toddler explore the food and figure it out. :)

My son 16 months old and he won’t touch it. I have been getting different opinions from moms and trying to figure out what to do, his doctor isn’t considered because he was born so early.

Just keep offering. Eventually he will when he's ready. Also try the baby snacks like the baby mum mums or baby cookies and puffs. You can let him carry those around as he plays and may just start chewing on them and like it. As long as you make sure he's getting all his nutrients he needs, I wouldn't worry too much yet.
