Give it some more time, let your child get used to it. If after a couple of weeks if you see it's not working, don't give up, find someone who is going to help your child and make it a fun experience.

Im not sure how often your child has therapy however i would say give it 30 days or atleast 5 to 6 sessions to honestly see. It all depends on the type of therapy, the environment its in and the length of the visit as well as the child or childs age honestly. My child had a therapist come into our home 2 times a week every 2 weeks but she wasnt even a year old her therapist physically worked and played with her which allowed her what she needed. But is it in a office are they old enough to have a mind set of they dont want to do this or they want to do this is this a physical type therapy where they may have to have a few visits to show progress? Is the parent able to be there sometimes kids act better if their parent is or isnt there. Also the therapist are they really the best therapist for what the child needs? Are they putting the effort in?

I don't think 2 sessions is enough to see if it's working. Trust has to be built with the child and therapist. Give it time....

It takes time. Continue on the therapy for at least a few more sessions. Children are a little more difficult than we are at getting them to openly do what the therapists ask them to do. Give him time. :)
